Summer at Bright Start is anything but ordinary! Our summer program for school-age children (ages 5-12) is packed with engaging activities, exciting field trips, and meaningful learning experiences designed to keep minds active and bodies moving all summer long.
This year's theme is "Explore Your World," and each week focuses on a different adventure — from outer space and ocean depths to jungle expeditions and city explorations. Weekly themes guide our crafts, games, science experiments, and even our snack creations!
Field trip highlights include visits to the local children's museum, a nature center with guided hiking trails, the public library for our summer reading challenge, and a working farm where children can learn about animals and agriculture. All trips are fully supervised with our excellent staff-to-child ratios.
Back at the center, children enjoy water play days every Friday, STEM building challenges, cooking classes where they make their own healthy snacks, talent shows, and plenty of outdoor sports and games. We also dedicate time each day for independent reading and quiet reflection.
